New Medicare open enrollment period

New Medicare open enrollment period runs Oct. 15-Dec. 7

Boulder County, Colo. – The new Medicare open enrollment period begins today, Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7.

Open enrollment gives seniors a chance to make changes to their Part D (prescription drug) and Medicare Advantage plans.

These changes can only made during the open enrollment period.

Latest Snow Storm Not a Record Breaker

This latest snow storm that hit the city of Longmont on February 2 - 4 left 13 inches of snow. No records were broken.

The city's largest snow fall occurred on December 20 - 21, 2006 with a total of 23.7 inches.

Other top snow falls have been:

  • 21.0 inches on March 8 - 9, 1992

  • 17.0 inches on October 24 - 25, 1997

  • 14.5 inches on March 18 - 19, 2003

An Evening To Remember
The Longmont United Hospital presents "An Evening To Remember", proceeds raised from this event will benefit the Expansion of the Cardiovasular Unit. The event will be held Saturday, November 6, in the Radisson Conference Center Grand Ballroom from 6p - 11:30p. Evening festivities begin at 6:00p with a silent auction, cocktails, dining and dancing with the Hazel Miller Band.

A 'Title' Wave of Aqueous Impressions
The Longmont Chorale presents "A 'Title' Wave of Aqueous Impressions", Saturday, October 16 at 7;00pm in Niwot at Niwot High School, 8989 Niwot Road, Longmont.
Sunday, October 17 at 4:00p at the First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover - Fort Collins.

Longmont’s annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration is the Longmont Museum’s signature event and the largest Day of the Dead celebration in Colorado, attracting more than 4,000 people to the exhibit, family event, and related programming. Celebrating our 10th anniversary this year, the celebration demonstrates how a diverse community can come together to share a common desire – to honor our ancestors and keep their memories alive.
