The Longmont
Genealogical Society provides limited research services for a fee, and maintains
a list of researchers who will do more in-depth genealogical research if needed.
For local history about Longmont and surrounding towns from the early settlers to present, you can also contact the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center's Archives. They have many items including photographs, maps, ledgers, letters and diaries, as well as, early telephone directories to help you with your search.
A legal sized SASE (self addressed stamped env.) must be enclosed
with the inquery. Since research is done by unpaid volunteers, research
requests must be brief, simple and limited to that which can be
done at local Longmont sources.
No fee will be charged to LGS members; however, a minimum donation
of $10.00 is expected from non-members, up to ten photocopies are
included in the research fee.
If the request requires lengthy research, a list of local genealogists
will be provided to the inquirer.
