ART IN OUR COMMUNITY

ART IN PUBLIC PLACES - Established in 1987, Longmont’s Art in Public Places Program is funded through a 1% levy on all capital improvement projects over fifty thousand dollars. It is administered through the Longmont Museum and managed by the Art in Public Places Committee.
ARTWALK LONGMONT - This organization helps to promote art in Longmont through an "artwalk" held during the months of April, June and September through the historic downtown area.

JESTERS REPERTORY THEATRE - Offer theatre and music classes and their students of all age perform on stage. 903 N. Main St., Longmont, CO (303) 682-9980

LONGMONT CHORALE, INC. -The Longmont Chorale organization encompasses two choruses - the Longmont Chorale and the Chorale Singers. Concerts are performed at varying locations throughout Longmont and nearby communities. PO Box 902, Longmont, CO (303) 651-7664.

LONGMONT COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS - This council promotes and celebrates the visual performing and literary arts through special events, grants for artists, and community programs. 521 Main St., Longmont, CO (303) 678-7869

LONGMONT MUSEUM AND CULTURAL CENTER - The brand-new Longmont Museum and Cultural Center is located at 400 Quail Road in south Longmont. This striking facility features four exhibit galleries, three classrooms for special events and programs, and an outdoor courtyard, all in a beautiful building with public art, great views, and lots more to explore.

LONGMONT SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - This Orchestra is composed of local volunteer musicians. Concerts are held 6 times throughout the season.

LONGMONT THEATRE COMPANY - Housed in the Longmont Performing Arts Center, is a community theater group which offers a wide range of music and drama productions. 513 Main St., Longmont, CO (303) 772-5200

THE MUSE GALLERY - A co-op of fine artists and artisans: paintings, prints, pottery, jewelry, baskets, cards and weavings. Located at 521 Main Street, Longmont, (303) 679-7869.

VANCE BRAND CIVIC AUDITORIUM - The auditorium was named in honor of American astronaut Vance Brand who is a native of Longmont. It hosts the Longmont Symphony Orchestra, as well as other community events, and plays. Skyline High School, 600 E. Mountain View Avenue, Longmont, CO (303) 651-0401
