The City of Longmont’s Recreational Services and Huntington Learning Center will present “Homework” A Parent’s Survival Guide, a 30 minute workshop offering practical advice to help parents deal with the challenges of homework. Attendance is free of charge but registrations are quested.

ArtWalk
Enjoy an evening of art exhibitions, music, live theatre, dance and children’s activities; A collaborative effort between businesses and arts organizations. ArtWalk transforms downtown businesses into galleries and promotes cultural arts three fabulous evenings each year. Featured artist reception 6-7 pm with food/music at Ron’s Printing Center. Art Scavenger Hunt, an arts appreciation activity showcasing the featured artist: Joseph G. Smith. 20+ art venues. 4 outdoor bands, 10 indoor musicians, 6 performance artists and dance/gymnastics exhibitions. Children’s art tent, musical petting zoo, face painting and much more. This is a free family event

Set in 1905 Fiddler on the Roof takes place in Avatevka a small Jewish village in Russia. The story is about a dairyman Tevye and the attempts to preserve his family’s traditions. When eldest daughter wants to marry a poor tailor rather than a middle-aged butcher, Tevye must choose between his daughter’s happiness and his beloved traditions that keep the outside world at bay. Meanwhile, there are other dangerous forces which threaten to destroy the very life he is trying to preserve.
