OUR Center Needs Emergency Food Provisions
The OUR Center needs the assistance of the St. Vrain community
to restock the OUR Center Food Pantry and OUR Child Care Center.
A record number of people are being assisted with emergency groceries
because of the deepening economic downturn. Our stock of food has
been seriously depleted.
Compared to the Year 2002 requests, we are serving 30% more persons
in our hot meal program and in the emergency grocery program.
Two in every five persons in line for a hot meal has been a child.
Here is a list of items needed in the pantry (deliver to 250 3rd
Ave):
Cereal
Canned fruit Pasta
Canned vegetables Canned Meals
Macaroni and Cheese Tuna
Rice
Toothpaste
Here is a list of items needed at the OUR Child Care Center
(deliver to 501 5th St.):
Baby Food (no mixtures) Fruit (Peaches/Pears)
Vegetables,
Similac Advanced Formula with Iron,
Unmixed Baby Cereal
Moreover, you may want to hold food drive at your place of work
to help us maintain a consistent level of food in the pantry. If
