services they offer, however this can be quite confusing and overwhelming
unless you already know what you want!
WIRING UP YOUR HOME FOR INTERNET SERVICE:
DSL is provided by several local providers. You
will need to check with Qwest first, the local telephone company
to see if your phone line is DSL ready. From there, get Qwest's
basic Internet connection (which doesn't provide support for email)
or other ISP's which can provide you with your connection to the
Internet and an email account. Internet connection is in
addition to Qwest's DSL service.
There are several wireless internet providers like
Mesa Networks (formerly Greenspeed), Gonzo Access, or Skybeam Highspeed. Having a clear line of site to one of the
local mountaintops is required for the dish to be able to receive
the signal.
Comcast Broadband is available via cable (highspeed) to the Longmont area.
Between DSL & Cable, Cable is much faster and cost more. Wireless providers speed(s) may vary. Check with them to see what they can offer.
